ACFC was founded to promote gender equality and empower women in sports and beyond. ACFC was co-founded by Academy Award-winning actress and activist&nbsp;Natalie Portman, technology venture capitalist&nbsp;Kara Nortman, and media and gaming entrepreneur&nbsp;Julie Uhrman. The club is notable for having a diverse ownership group that includes prominent female athletes, celebrities, and businesswomen, including Jennifer Garner, America Ferrara, Jessica Chastain, Julie Foudy, Mia Hamm, and many others.&nbsp;<o:p></o:p><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p>Holly Millward said: "Nick and I visited the ACFC team in LA last year and could see immediately that the group was forging a totally new type of ownership model for a professional women's sport franchise. As a purpose-led team, we believe that Angel City will significantly influence the global commercial landscape of women's sport.&nbsp; We are excited to support this incredible team's journey into new markets, brands and ventures."<o:p></o:p><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p>Since its inception, Angel City has established itself as a significant brand within women's sport. The team calls BMO Stadium in downtown Los Angeles home and boasts more than 16,000 season ticket holders, a record in the US if not globally, and has lodged seven regular-season sell outs at 22,000 tickets redeemed. With a strong purpose-led mission, the team reallocates a percentage of ticket sales to players and donates 10% of sponsorship dollars to the local community, averaging over 1.5 million USD each year for the next three years.<o:p></o:p><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p>Nick Hoyle said;<o:p></o:p><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p>"In the midst of witnessing a fascinating Women's World Cup, ACFC is already well-positioned to capitalize on a significant commercial opportunity. Having TTB as an investor, sharing these values, is of utmost importance to us."<o:p></o:p><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p>The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup kicked off on Thursday, July 20, and four players participating from Angel City's active roster; Jun Endo (JAP), Julie Ertz (USA), Ali Riley (NZ Captain), and Alyssa Thompson (USA), are representing their countries at the tournament.&nbsp;<o:p></o:p><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p>During the Women's World Cup, Angel City FC will host their first "Angel City Equity House" at the Sydney Opera House, featuring 100 leaders from sport, business, government and not-for-profit sectors.
